Isuzu’s 4HE and the 4HK diesel engines use a  2 piece front and rear crankshaft seal. The first piece (slinger) is a wear ring that prevents a groove from being worn into the crankshaft. This prevents the expense of crankshaft replacement. The slinger must be set to the proper depth on the crankshaft. The second piece is the seal which must be set in conjunction to the depth of the slinger. The special tool removes the guess work out of slinger and seal depth installation. The special tool is a necessity for proper sealing.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS INCLUDED WITH TOOL RENTAL

The front and rear seal installers are different and are not interchangeable
